What is Learn mode in wordlet?
Learn mode rotates study drills per card — flip, multiple-choice quiz, typing, and listen — in one session, with FSRS scheduling after each rating.
Flip, pick, type, and listen — every card is a different drill.
Learn mode is wordlet's mixed study session: instead of doing one drill type for the whole round, each card picks a different exercise — flip to reveal, multiple choice, type the answer, or listen and choose. That variety keeps sessions engaging and forces you to recall words in multiple ways, not just the one format you are comfortable with.
Start Learn on any deck with at least four due cards. wordlet assigns a drill per card — flip, choice, type, or listen (when your deck has a term language and TTS is enabled). You can customize which drills appear in session settings. Rate each card after answering; FSRS uses those ratings to schedule the next review. Mistakes come back in the same session until you clear them.
Studying the same way every time builds narrow recall: you might ace flashcards but stumble in conversation. Mixed drills cross-train retrieval — recognition, production, and listening — so knowledge transfers better to real use. The unpredictability also reduces autopilot: you cannot coast on muscle memory for one drill type when the next card might ask you to type or listen instead.
Learn is the best default for daily study — varied, efficient, and backed by FSRS. Use it when you want a complete workout without picking a mode yourself. Switch to dedicated flashcards, quiz, typing, or listen sessions when you want to focus on one skill. For language decks, pair Learn with Stress or Articles mode for grammar-specific drills on Greek stress and noun articles.
