Vocabulary flashcards explained

Start a flashcard session

Open any deck and choose Flashcards from the study menu. wordlet shows due cards first — terms waiting for review based on FSRS. See the term, recall the definition, then tap or press a key to reveal the answer.

Grade each card for FSRS

After revealing the back, rate how well you knew it — from "again" through "easy." That grade updates FSRS immediately: struggles return sooner, easy cards move weeks or months out. You never manually pick intervals; the schedule adapts from your ratings across every study mode on the same deck.

Import word lists as flashcards

Paste or upload a plain-text file (term and definition separated by tab, comma, or dash) from Anki export, Quizlet copy-paste, or your own list. Preview duplicates, pick an import policy, and start studying — FSRS scheduling begins on your first graded session.

When to use flashcards vs Learn mode

Flashcards are best for focused flip-to-reveal practice on due cards. For mixed flip, quiz, typing, and listen drills in one session, use Learn mode instead. Warm up with the match game, then run flashcards to clear your review queue.

Flashcards in wordlet — FAQ

How flashcards works in the app — not generic flashcard theory.

How do flashcards work in wordlet?

Open a deck, choose Flashcards, recall the definition for each due term, reveal the answer, then grade your recall. FSRS reschedules the card from that grade.

wordlet uses FSRS scheduling on every mode, includes typing and listen drills, and keeps all modes free — no Plus paywall.
